Black Sesame Peanut Toast
When we (Joe & Evelyn) were still working in restaurants, our favorite pastry to eat in the morning were bostocks. Bostock is an almond toast, usually lightly soaked in a syrup and baked with a frangipane (or almond cake) on top.
Ours is made with a buttery brioche bread, black sesame almond frangipane, simple syrup, salted peanuts, and toasted black sesame seeds all baked together. The toast is finished with powdered sugar. Lightly sweet and savory but super satisfying!
